Danny's Baseball 2010

Danny tried his hand at baseball for the first time this Spring and loved it! Most of the other boys on his team played last year as well, but Danny held his own and picked it up pretty quickly (complete with spitting and tapping the plate).

Here he is looking cute on first (he'd prefer the word "cool" over "cute", I'm sure).

And despite the above cuteness, THIS little guy gets my award for Cutest Walla Walla Pacific Little League Player Of The Year:

He was about half the size of the other players and could hardly see over the rim of his batting helmet. I wanted to adopt him...though I'm sure his parents would have issues with that.

Alyssa's Softball 2010

Alyssa had a great softball season! This must be the age where the games go from being funny to watch to being fun to watch! It was more competitive and, by the end of the season, the girls really seemed to know their stuff. Alyssa really enjoyed it and it showed in the way she played (THREE homeruns this season!) Brad coached her again this year (which they both love) and his office sponsored their team.

DO NOT tell Danny that I posted this!

I found it in his school backpack the other day along with another note that had two boxes - one for "Katherine" and one for "Emma" - asking Danny to put a check in the box of the girl he liked best! Since there were no checks in either box I can only assume that Danny is keeping his options open for now.
